Beads with Sheri

So my sister in law Sheri and I wanted to make some watch bands. Sheri and I went shopping and got all the beads and accessories we would need. Then we went crazy. I love these and love to make them. If anyone wants one let me know. I'll make any color you want.

So it's back to school week for most people, so I felt inspired to make some back to school cards.

Menu For Justin and Yvette

So since my brother has been married, he and his new adorible wife write out their menu for the week. So they sit down and plan our all the new meals and some favorites that they want to cook throughout the week. So as I was pondering on what kind of super cool wedding gift (I know it's late) I could give them, it came to me.

A dry erase menu board.

So I got all the stuff to make it and made it all in one day. I was so excited to give it to them that I drove (Chad gave me a ride) over to their house and gave it to Justin. Yvette wasn't home yet but she text me as soon as she got home and she LOVED IT! I'm happy and it was so fun to make.

Monkeys on the bed

For my nephew Jaedan I made this monkey inspired blanket. He LOVES blankets and he's my little monkey so I made this one for him. When he opened it he got this big smile on his face and just smothered his face into the blanket. It was so cute I wish I had gotten a picture of it. I usually do squares in my rag quilts but I decided to switch it up and do long strips of fabric instead. I'm pleased with the turn out.

Pretty in Pink

This is my first blanket ever made. Chad and I were visiting his family for the weekend. It was a quiet and lazy weekend just spent watching sports and eating delicious meals. So his sister and I went to the craft store where I picked out some fabric and then came back to the house and designed my blanket and went to work. A few hours later, this was the finished product. I was so proud of myself having never made any blankets before and having no pattern. I think it turned out wonderful and I'm saving it so I can give it to my first daughter if I ever have one.

Aspen

For my niece Aspen's birthday I made her this pink and purple blanket. I made it a little bigger so she could hang onto it for a number of years. I personalized it by spelling her name out in the middle. Then I added a little personal touch with my tag. I hope to be able to make all of the nieces and nephews blankets for their birthdays this year... hope being the key word.
